The Fine Arts Club of the department of ECE in association with the IE had organized an event on 10.04.2024

The  Fine Arts  Club  of  the  Department  of  Electronics and  Communication  Engineering  in association with the Institution of Engineers (India) Salem Local Centre had  organized  an event titled “Tech Waves ”  on  10th  April 2024  from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The event was conducted for all the branches of Paavai Engineering College. Dr.M.Sudha, Professor and Head, Department of ECE was the Convener. She addressed the students and stressed the importance of attending such   technical contests to keep themselves involved and to enhance their critical and logical thinking. Mrs.A.Samundeeswari, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, was the jury and she appreciated the efforts taken by the Student Coordinators in organizing events regularly. She also insisted the students to update their knowledge and skills.

It was a two round event and the first round was preliminary round that involved questions related to word puzzles, crossword puzzles, riddles, jumbled words, suduko. There were around 65 students from various branches of engineering and it was conducted in the Main Building ECE department RoomNo.213. The students were keen and interested in finding out the puzzles that has unveiled the mind power of the students. In the second round, four batches were shortlisted and were examined with a Personality identification. The first prize was won by the students of Information Technology department – Ashok Kumar and team. The other teams were appreciated and recognized for their efforts. The winners were awarded with a certificate by the Jury and the Head of the Department, ECE.

Mrs.R.Bhuvaneshwari, AP/ECE, Fine Arts Club coordinator & Mrs.N.Gangarani, AP/ECE and Mrs.S.Vijaya, AP/ECE Faculty Coordinators along with student coordinators, M.Dhivyadharshini, V.G.Moulika and L.Sivasurya Second year ECE organized this event. Faculty members from ECE attended the event. As per the feedback collected from the students, they added it was an opportunity to showcase their logical skills and talents.
