On behalf of Department of Chemistry, Paavai Engineering College organized a one day Student Development Academic webinar on “Pollution and its Impact on Environment” on 06thJuly, 2021. Ms.M.J.SAFFAREN, First Year Bio Medical Engineering welcomed gathered the webinar. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal , Paavai Engineering College delivered his presidential address on the occasion. He addressed that, awareness about pollution causes a and its problem to the public. Dr.G.Raja Head of the Department organized a wonderful session and gave the informative talk about the Recent trends in Environmental resources. Prof.M.Mohan, Professor & Head, Science and Humanities, introduced the Chief Guest and gave overview of the importance of Environmental resources. Prof.R.Mayildurai, Assistant Professor (Sr.G), Department of Chemistry, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, was the guest of the honor. He explained in his presentation about the Environmental Pollution – Sources of pollution, its impact on environment & abatement treatment process. Also explained elaborately the method of pollution treatment – reduction and reuse of materials to reduce pollution- identification of heavy metals in the environment. He also explained the students on detection of pollutant and the methods to reduce pollution in future generation. Faculty members and students eagerly participated in the program. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.V.Shanmathii first Year /ECE. The session was very informative and motivating to all the students.
